About us
Nearchos is a company offering state-of-the-art services in all the domains of archaeological research, from surveying to digital data management, and from bioarchaeological analyses to the production of scientific, multimedia, and popular contents. Implementing the digital revolution in archaeology is our vocation, as we aim to produce new types of scientific communication within innovative architectures of knowledge aimed both to the specialists and to the general public. Francesca Cavaliere, the LR of Nearchos, is a specialist in Archaeological Heritage and is a digital archaeologist with extensive fieldwork experience in Italy and in the Middle East.
Focus areas
Documentation is the primary goal of archaeology: the constantly evolving field techniques increasingly require integration within a digital environment. Nearchos is able to manage the entire operational chain as defined by the client.
The study of the material evidence produced by archaeological research, is nowadays conducted within a digital stream of data resulting from the integration of a multitude of operations and analyses conducted on sites, artifacts, and ecofacts. At Nearchos, our specialists guarantee excellence throughout all these operations.
The public presentation of archaeological sites and of their material culture are qualifying and necessary aspects, which require different skills. Thanks to its successful experiences which aimed at the enhancement of contexts, Nearchos’ workflow provides effective solutions for the valorization of cultural heritage.
